Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the Greebrier Police Department serves as the primary operational component of the agency and provides continuous law enforcement services to the City of Greebrier. The division is responsible for maintaining public safety, preserving order, protecting life and property, and enforcing all applicable local and state laws.

Patrol officers are tasked with responding to calls for service, conducting traffic enforcement, initiating preliminary investigations, and providing immediate response to emergencies. In addition, officers engage in proactive patrol activities and community-oriented policing initiatives designed to deter criminal activity, address public safety concerns, and promote positive relationships between the department and the community.

To ensure uninterrupted service, the Patrol Division operates on a schedule consisting of four 12-hour shifts, comprised of two day shifts and two night shifts. Each shift is supervised by a Patrol Corporal, who provides direct leadership and operational oversight. Overall administration and supervision of the Patrol Division is provided by one Patrol Sergeant, who oversees personnel, training, and daily operations to ensure efficiency, accountability, and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

Personnel assigned to the Patrol Division receive ongoing training in areas including emergency response, defensive tactics, de-escalation techniques, and professional law enforcement standards. The division functions with a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and impartial enforcement of the law.
