Stormwater
The City of Greenbrier is currently operating under the phase II National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Discharges from small MS4’s. The permit allows the municipality to discharge stormwater runoff from municipal drainage systems into waters of the state. The permit requires that the City of Greenbrier develop and implement specific programs and best management practices to protect water quality through a Stormwater Management Program (SWMP). The City of Greenbrier SWMP is required to address stormwater quality through six minimum control measures.
